Scott wins TSPRA Rookie of the Year

At the Texas School Public Relations Association’s (TSPRA) 60th Annual Conference held this week, Victoria ISD’s Ashley Scott, executive director of Communications and Public Relations, won the association’s Rookie of the Year award.

VISD Parents & Guardians: Be sure to check your email for the VISD Family Survey. The VISD Family Survey will inform departments in planning for the 2022-23 school year and beyond. The survey will close Friday, March 11.

Victoria ISD Communications Department brings home awards from 2022 TSPRA Star Awards

The Victoria ISD Communications Department was among members across the state to receive honors from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA). The awards were announced at TSPRA’s annual Star Awards Celebration held Feb. 23, 2022, at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, Texas during the association’s 60th annual conference.

Opening a new early childhood campus in Victoria during the pandemic was a bold decision by both the Victoria Independent School District and the Children’s Learning Institute at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. After working diligently to get our new early childhood campus up and running in just six short months, the Children’s Learning Institute Early Education Center at F.W. Gross opened its doors and welcomed children (grades PreK-3 through 1st grade) and their families, eager to see what we could offer them.

Victoria East UIL Academic Teams bring home hardware from Island Tournament

Victoria East’s UIL Academic Teams traveled to the Flour Bluff Island Tournament Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19. With teams composed of freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors, the Titans left with many awards.

Victoria ISD would like to congratulate both the Victoria East and West Wrestling teams on a great season. Many wrestlers advanced to regionals, with some making it to state in Houston.
